a mixed bag of goodies……..sharing from NYC

– i had the pleasure of viewing ICY SIGNS creator Stephen Powers working and creating at The Brooklyn Museum! His exhibition is amazing to see in real life, so go and see it in Brooklyn and get inspired!

– reflective surface on 10th ave….when the light hits the spot!

– i stumbled across this exhibition/gallery in Soho (another reason to love NYC!) and couldn’t believe my eyes! Thierry Guetta (a.k.a Mr Brainwash) was right in front of my very eyes! The above piece goes for a cool 110K, if you have any spare change! watch Exit through the Gift Shop to find out the story of Mr Brainwash.

– subway images: this is the ‘old’ and the ‘new’ versions. the bronze sculptures on the left are from Tom Otterness, and add a fun and whimsical touch to the overcrowded underground tunnels. on the right is the new part of the PATH train near the World Train Center Site/Financial District and going through to the new shopping mall, Brookfield Place. i love the look!
