– so how many times do i dedicate an entire post to food? i’ll answer that for you…..not too many times! but i need to discuss a couple of places i just tried and love.
in Venice Beach try a place called Gjusta Bakery – it is so much more than a bakery and so good that i’m basically salivating as i write this. the vibe is beachy-hipster-easy, (yes, i made this phrase up on the spot) the service is pretty quick, the pressed juices are delicious and the bread is kinda “out of this world amazing.” oh……and did i mention, some good people watching?

– if you want vegan Mexican food that uses locally grown organic ingredients then you MUST try Gracias Madre in west hollywood. it is nothing short of a taste sensation. the combination of ingredients are different, and the result is pure delight. the plantains bring a tear to my eye and the margarita’s make a girl smile. end the dinner with fresh mint tea that has been steeped to perfection.
try to sit in the outdoor space (a little hard to get) near an olive tree and then go over to see the altar and say a prayer for the healthy, nutritious food that just went in your body!
